Inmate Text App
Inmate texting apps are a great way to keep in touch with a loved one or friend who is currently behind bars. These apps are designed to comply with prison rules and allow family members and friends to send messages, pictures videos, eCards, video calls and money to their prison trust account. There are also federal inmate applications that provide additional services, such as video visits and phone calls.
The JPay application, for example allows family and friends to transfer money into the trust account of an inmate, as well as photos, email, eCards and video text inmate grams. They can also create personalized postcards that include personal photos. It's a safer and more secure alternative to regular mail.
Another popular inmate text application is GettingOut that provides "simple and reliable communication" between inmates and their loved ones. The app, which is available in select correctional facilities allows inmates to upload photos as well as text their families and friends via their tablets. Inmates pay $0.25 per message, and their loved ones pay cost of accessing them (but they are not explicit images). You can also use the GettingOut application to share a photo on Facebook or Foursquare federl inmate texting and check in on Foursquare, and include a video in the YouTube upload.
